San Francisco!!
By Xaxio
Well, it’s that time of year again
I’m heading out for my (annual * 1.2) trip to San Francisco. I’ll be embarking on the Chinese New Year Treasure Hunt, hopefully trying some new foods, and possibly meeting some new people. I’m all kinds of excited!
It’s only 9:51 EST, but the day is off to a weird start. I woke up when my alarms went off, which is weird for me. However, I threw up almost immediately after waking up. Sometimes I throw up due to a lack of sleep. I think (and hope) that today it was a combination of that and my excitement for the trip.
This year will be significantly more challenging due to that damn Cipro thing, having less clothing options available, and not having new shoes this time around. I visited the New Balance store, and they didn’t have any motion control shoes there except the ones that rub up against my ankles in an uncomfortable fashion. And according to Cedar Mountain, the New Balance store in San Francisco has closed down.
At least, having gotten only 4 hours of sleep, I know I’ll be able to sleep on the plane.
The SD card market and Kingston

I just read what I thought to be a most interesting article on the SD card market.
I think I’ll just buy a SanDisk instead of Kingston.
Google apologizes for odd Google Buzz visibility settings
By Xaxio
I was just signing into my Google Mail account today, and I saw listed on the Gmail blog a post about Google Buzz.
First and foremost, THANK YOU GOOGLE! I was very excited when I started using Buzz, and I was ready to try this and that and start checking out other people’s buzz stuff. Then I clicked on somebody I was following and I nearly had a heart attack when I could see his contacts listed there. I was honestly, truly, genuinely frightened. I panicked and immediately started going through all of my profile settings on all of the Google services I could find, disabling anything Buzz-related as I came across it.
New Castlevania Movie Soundtrack

If they’re smart, they’ll use Makara by E.S. Posthumus in the new Castlevania movie. You can listen to samples directly on that page without having to have anything special installed (besides Flash, of course…)
Damnit Google Buzz
By Xaxio
Google, who the hell gave you permission to share my list of contacts with each other with this “Buzz” thing you released? Did you even TRY to beta it? You have no idea about the harm you’ve done. Where are the frickin privacy settings, please?
