Troubleshooting
I have to leave for work, so I don’t have much time to write this post.
1) My CD drive isn’t even recognized by my computer. I don’t know if it’s because it’s on cable select (it was on slave before, without being recognized) or if it’s a driver issue. I have a SATA drive installed, and the CD writer — but that’s it. I have to figure out what the problem is. I’m borrowing a CD drive from a friend to try to help resolve the problem. I’ll try to install it sometime tonight.
2) The video card I’m using was just used to fix the computer. There were a whole bunch of problems with ATI’s video drivers. I installed them, and my C:\Windows\system directory was erased. I scanned the files I downloaded, then disconnected from the internet, disabled the virus scanner, uninstalled the old drivers, and installed the new ones. That’s the last time I ever use an ATI. I’m moving to NVidia from now on. Anyway, this video card was just used to fix the system, I have to take it back to Best Buy and order a new card online, probably from NewEgg, where everything is cheaper.
3) My car has a leak in the air conditioner. I am constantly having to charge it up with refrigerant until I can get the leak fixed somewhere.
4) My car’s brakes are acting funny. I’m thinking about taking them down to St. Petersburg, Florida, to have them looked at again.
Gotta go, it’s 7:30, gotta be at work in an hour!
