A warm Sunday evening

It’s a warm Sunday evening and I’m sitting here reflecting on my day and the things that I need to do and the things that I have done…

I had Sushi Tsu for dinner last night. I had the Chef’s Special at the hibachi grill and I also had my most favorite meat product as an appetizer — raw steak :) After leaving the restaurant, I headed back here, passed out for a bit while talking to a brick house on and off, and watched some funny videos on Google Video.

I was informed by a respectable and well-meaning party that IMAX shows movies at midnight at Channelside. That may have been the case at one time, but not anymore. Channelside is a local entertainment complex here in Tampa, containing several bars, a place to bowl, a place to catch movies, a place to play pool, several restaurants, an ice cream place, a fudge shoppe…

It turned out, once I arrived there, that they no longer do the midnight IMAX showings. So I grabbed ice cream for the house and me, came back here, and passed out for a bit.

I woke up WAY too early. I had a hard time sleeping…probably because my sleep schedule had already been messed up. Darn me…

I ended up dozing for a couple more hours after I did a couple of chores around the place, then I had to scoot off to work at 3:00 PM to start setting up computers because of the office being remodeled.

I worked until about 5:30, which is 30 minutes less than I expected to work, truthfully.

I picked up lots of juice and seltzer water at the store. I’ve been on this kick lately where I don’t like soda that much, but I love fizzy water and I like juice, so I figured if I mixed the two together it’d go well. It did :) Half-juice, half-seltzer = mmmmmmmm :)

Back to the regular job tomorrow…

Expectancy on a Saturday afternoon

It’s Saturday afternoon. I ended up going to bed at 7:00 AM this morning. I was simply reading a book, and didn’t realize the time. Before I knew it, I had gone through several hundred pages and the sun was coming up. I didn’t even feel sleepy while I was doing it. I wonder if my circadian rhythm is messed up, or if it was just a really good book. I may never know…

I slept from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM and got up again. Threw in some laundry, read some more of the book, ended up being a little late for a lunch with some chicas because of it.

Got back here at 2:00 PM, layed down for 15 minutes, got my butt up and back into gear, threw some more laundry in, cleaned the kitchen some, played some StepMania…

It’s 4:21 now. I’m writing this because it nags me if I don’t now. I figure it’s a good way to get me to write in it ;)

I need to fold clothes, pick up some, vacuum (that’s a funny word! ;)) the floor, and clean up the kitchen a little more before company gets here.

I have to work tomorrow at 3:00 PM and I’m not getting paid any extra for it, even though I’ve already worked over 47 hours this week. Oh well. Such is the life of a salaried employee.

Boston, MA

I recently went to Boston for business, and I took over 350 photos and some videos while I was there! I was both busy and business-y. If there are any of you out there wondering where your photos are, forgive the delay. Processing this many photos takes a while, as almost none of them are bad photos. Any bad ones get deleted and retaken because I view all of them after I take them.

So where have I been…

I’ve started a new year and I doubt I’m going to be going to Canada as often as I used to. I love Toronto and want to go there for vacation sometime and see the sites and the sights. I’ve never been to the CN Tower. People say it’s not as cool as everybody says it is, but I think I want to go now just to see for myself.

I’ve dated somebody new and now we’re not together anymore, we’re just friends…

I’ve expanded my skill set in the technical arena. I’m starting to understand more of IBM’s stuff: SB+ Server, SB Client (SB stands for SystemBuilder), and UniData and UniBasic.

My spelling has gotten worse due to using the spell-checker in Microsoft Outlook during the daily course of business…

I haven’t read any good books since the beginning of this year. I think I’d want to read again soon…

I’ve gotten new shoes, Nike Free 4.0 shoes, I’ll have to see about posting a picture up here ;)

I’ve been to Denver, CO, for some training for the job…beautiful place, gotta love the mountains…I’ll see about putting a picture of that up as well.

I want to learn Ruby on Rails, as well as TCL. We’ll see how well THAT goes…
